'The Fires Burn Again'

Well that certainly got that blood boiling in the woman, and honestly... Menel was visibly shaking as she clenched her fists a bit. Her eyes contracting slightly as the pupils shifted into slits as a snarl formed over her features before she had the realization that something was thrown at her and one hand jerked up catching one of the orbs in it earning a low grunt from the woman. Those red eyes turned as she watched the slowly fading shadow of Sephiroth before she snorted out and slowly starting to calm her mind with a couple quick, deep breaths "That is not the man that you called your father and you know it..." She muttered before looking over the Materia that she'd caught, a rather nasty red brusing coming around her palm where she had caught it "Even I can smell it, that's not him... I know your father's scent well enough and that is nothing more than a figment created by Jenova... but who knows what the truth is... and whether he is controlling her or not..."

Snorting again the woman turned on her heel before motioning for her daughter to follow making her way back up the spiral stairs and remaining silent on the entire way out of the abandoned Mansion "Go make sure you new 'friends' are out of town..." She muttered out before moving off, when Netzach tried to follow the younger woman was met with a rather piercing glare from her mother which basically told her to just back off and leave her be for the time being.

Well needless to say the way Menel spoke to her about telling her 'friends' to get out of town... that was a sign that shit was about to go down and well everyone was likely having to be evacuated. But... why bother with anyone else here besides Cloud and co? The people here were... well they were those creeps in the black cloaks so well they could do whatever it was that they wanted to do. A deep sigh came out of Netzach as she went to try and seek out Cloud and his friends, maybe they had already left? Nope... just her luck they were still getting ready with supplies and things that would be required for their trip to Rocket Town "Yo' Cloud!"

The spiky haired blonde glanced up when he heard his name being called. Tilting his head slightly as he saw Netzach coming over "Something wrong?" He questioned "You here to give us more help?"

"Well... not so much help as it is me telling you to just... well get the hell out of town as soon as you can." The woman sighed crossing her arms over her chest as she looked at him "Listen Cloud... just make sure you get everything you need and just haul ass out of here. I don't know what's about to happen but something big is going to happen, I just have that feeling alright?"

Well that was odd... what did she mean by that? Sighing out Cloud gave her a puzzled look before seeing Tifa and the others coming out from the hotel behind them "Well if we got everything we need lets go..." The blonde let out before glancing up... well that was odd, no sunlight all of the sudden "That's strange..."

That was certainly a bad omen for things to come... Netzach glanced up and well look what was in the skies. One very big, one likely very pissed off dragon and well it didn't take a genius to know what was likely about to happen. Nor did it take Netzach long to know just whom that dragon was... she gritted her teeth watching as the black creatures form did a circle around the town "Right I think that's everyone's cue to get out of here..."

"What the fuck is that thing!?" And cue the foul-mouthed Barret going about to make things just that bit worse... gripping onto that gun arm of his the man watched as the Dragon went about circling around almost waiting for it to get close before just setting off a barrage of bullets. Yeah smart move Barret.

And the response to come was a loud bellowing roar and the sudden halt of that circling motion as the dragon's attention snapped towards the offender who had just kindly decided to try and put a few bullets into her thick hide. A thick snarl forming over those jaws as a few flicks of flames sprouting up from between the fangs, a snort came and a few streams of smoke came out of those nostrils before there was a stream of flames coming out of that mouth.

"YOU IDIOT!" That was really Netzach's only response as she jerked over to well at least get them out of the way of the flames... well those that were too stupid to move anyway. Sighing out with a groan Net watched as Menel moved to circle around again though this time it wasn't just circling but the dragon actually streaming out flames down upon the small backwater town "Shit..."

Jacques sighed out as he was taking another break from his trip, having gotten off the yellow chocobo's back and walking it for the time being until he found a decent spot to just sit and relax. Holding onto some Greens for the bird he glanced around slightly, there was a town u p ahead so maybe he could resupply there and continue moving on.

"Taking a break son?"

Well that got the halfbreed to tense and he nearly flew out of his skin before sighing out and turning his attention towards the source of the voice, seeing the man as he was walking over. Jacques carefully watched Sephiroth for the time being watching the general as he brought a hand to sit on the Chocobo's back "Why are you here?"

"Mother told me you wanted to see me..."

"Ah... I didn't expect her to relay that..." He let out with a soft chuckle before looking at the Chocobo chuckling more as the bird went about trying to preen away at his hair again "I've... kinda given up on trying to make it stop that..." The young man let out sighing deeply.

Well it earned a low chuckle out of Sephiroth as well "They tend to do that a lot... your mother had those issues with her own... though that one just loved pecking everyone as well who wasn't Menel." A thick sigh came out of him as he closed his eyes drawing his hand back "But... your mother and sister have betrayed us..."

A tilt of the head came from Jacques "How...?"

"Netzach is aiding those that want to rid me of this world... and Menel... well Menel is aiding her in such acts... she is not sound in the mind and thus... they must be destroyed in order for us to continue on."

Well that got a puzzled look from Jacques as he frowned "Aiding who to help get rid of you? Rufus? Reno and Rude?"

A low chuckle came out of him "Well they aren't the only ones who are after me... you have the Turks and then there is Cloud and his group of followers." Sephiroth gave the boy a glance "And of course there are the turks... though I don't think you have met Cloud before have you?"

"Just... once or twice I think..." Jacques let out softly "Once back at ShinRA Headquarters and... I think when we were well... I don't remember to be honest." A shrug came out of him "I honestly could care less about him to be honest... he didn't seem that interesting or like any sort of threat. Honestly he looked weak."

That got a laugh out of the silver haired man which startled the Chocobo earning a sharp Wark from it and well a bit of a peck at his coat "Well that is certainly one way of seeing him." A shrug came from the man as he turned his attention back to Jacques "Rest up and in the morning get enough supplies for your journey... make sure to avoid Rocket Town and to stick to the less traveled path. Your mother and sister are looking for you and you are not yet ready to take on Cloud's entire group alone..." He added in before looking at the Chocobo "I would suggest getting another chocobo for the journey but that would take too long... just tread carefully... Jenova will help you reach your final destination when you need her aide..."
